Inside the Nether Largie North Cairn, Kilmartin Glen
Scotland
The Nether Largie North Cairn is one of 350 ancient mouments dating back to the Bronze Age identified by archeologists in the Kilmartin Glen area. The North Cairn was reconstructed in 1930. Such tombs required engineering expertise and a large organised workforce to construct. As such they were reserved for the burial of high status individuals.
