Inside the Laerdal tunnel (12th kilometer)
Norway

Stopover in the Laerdaltunnelen (Tunnel at the Valley of Laer), the world's longest road tunnel as for 2010. It is 24,51 km long and connects Ausland mit Laerdal in Sogn og Fjordane, Norway. Finished 2000, other that most newer tunnels in Norway, the tunnel is toll free. Every 6 kilometers, a cavern separates one road section from another, so the driver can take a rest. The caves are lighten in different colours that the tunnel itself. In the second cavern, i.e. in the middle of the tunnel, the panorama was taken.
