Inside the Old North Church
Boston

Built in 1723 and officially known as Christ Church, the Old North Church in Boston has become a symbol of the start of the American Revolutionary War. From its high steeple Paul Revere was signaled by lantern ("one if by land, two if by sea") that the British troops were arriving by water as the colonists waited word on that fateful night.  Today the church is a National Historic Landmark.  Here is another panorama which shows how the Old North Church looks on the outside in 2009.
