Jaunmoku Palace ( built in 1901) is a combination of Art-Nouveau elements and Neo-Gothic forms and was built as the country residence of George Armitstead, mayor of Riga (1901-12).
The palace is designed by Wilhelm Bockslaff. The look of the manor house ensemble has changed slightly, still preserving the main concept of the architect – to create a Gothic synthesis of the Hanseatic towns.
The castle is now a place for relaxation and celebration - premises for seminars, conferences and celebrations, specializing in hosting and organizing weddings. You will find vast varieties of entertainment – from a night’s stay and having breakfast in the palace, relaxing in a bath and sauna to using the sport’s field or go on a romantic drive in a horse carriage.
Museum of Forest is also housed here, offering spectacular theatrical tours in the neighborhood.
