Ardrossan is the largest port of the Yorke Peninsula and is situated on the Gulf St Vincent 150 kilometres northwest of Adelaide. From the new jetty agricultural products are exported all over the world. The jetty also services salt shipments from solar salt pans north of Ardrossan and dolomite from a quarry operated by BHP.
