Jhuzihmen Power Plant
Taiwan

The Jhuzihmen Power Plant was listed as a grade III historical site in 1992. The plant has a Baroque-style design and it was built in 1908. With a simple but grand, white exterior, the building is a first generation water power plant that served the Meinong area. The classic building blends in with the surroundings, which is also a natural garden with plantations such as Roystonea regia and banyan that give a distinct sub-tropical and sublime atmosphere. The old generators are still operating and the plant is open to visitors for educational and tourist purposes.
