♦安徽九华山天台寺为全国重点寺院。又名地藏寺、地藏禅寺，位于九华山的天台与玉屏峰之间。
♦相传唐朝时新罗僧地藏在此禅居，留有“金仙洞”遗迹。宋代高僧宗杲《游九华山题天台高处》诗云：“踏遍天台不作声，清钟一杵万山鸣。”说明宋代已有寺宇。明洪武元年（1368年）居士陈履泰捐资主持僧昭莲重建，遂为丛林。光绪十六年（1890年）重建。1920年主持僧彻德募建佛殿，寺前有额“天台正顶”。1921年主持僧兰田重修天台石板路。1936~1949年主持僧重整仪轨，大振沙门。1953年青阳县政府重修寺院。1983年国务院批准天台寺为汉族地区佛教全国重点寺院。同年九华山管理处重修殿宇，并未佛像上漆、贴金。1998年10月，在原址上重建大雄宝殿。
♦这里是天台寺西南侧，俯视古拜经台，极目九华峰峦，无不壮哉！
