Keeler Conference
California

The Keeler Conference is an informal archaeological get-together that occurs annually in the Inyo-Mono region.  Archaeologists from across the state of California who have research interestes in the area come down to hear and present papers, discuss their work, network with friends and colleagues, and drink beer.  The conference occurs over a weekend and is a lot of fun.

This image was taken during a presentation by Leticia about the Civilian Conservation Corps.  It was about a million degrees in that ancient military-surplus wall tent, I needed a break so I took this picture.  Enjoy!
