Kilise Burnu Bozyazi Vr Mersin 558
Turkey
It is located on top of a high hill, 18 km to the east of Bozyazı, just by the road. This place is an archeological site dating back to the Late Roman and Early Byzantine Periods, known by the name of Kilise Burnu (literally: the Church Cape) in Akyaka – Tekeli Neighborhood. There are the remains of fortification walls, a cistern, a church and other buildings. There are three tombs outside the fortification walls in the northwest; two of them side by side and one behind them, which date back to the 1st and the 2nd century AD, having vaults, plaster-coated walls and small entrances similar to Anemurim graves.
