Kóros is a little village near the Croatian border, in the south of the Hungarian comitat Baranya. The vilage is known for it's reformed church, build in 1795. The interior of the church is a very rare example of Hungarian folk art and originates from the time that the Ormánság was still the heart of a rich agriculteral area. Today the village has not many inhabitants left and farming is the main source of income.
The interior of the church suffers from a lack of maintenance and is not in a very good shape. Money is as always the main reason that such a beautyfull piece of folk art is threathened to disappear.
