Le port de Palavas
Languedoc-Roussillon
Né de la générosité de la mer, le village de Palavas-les-Flots doit son histoire ancienne et actuelle aux hommes qui lui ont donné toute sa raison d’être et son identité : les pêcheurs. Ce village de pêcheurs, garde aujourd’hui les traits bien caractéristiques des villes côtières. La mer est dans Palavas et Palavas est dans la mer. L’un et l’autre sont unis pour toujours.
 Le ballet matinal des embarcations qui s’adonnent à l’appel du large et de la pêche est l’illustration la plus accomplie de cette union de destins. Quand chaque matin au retour des bateaux, le fruit de la pêche est étalé sur les quais, c’est tout un village qui sent bon la Méditerranée. Sous le regard des vieux gréements d’antan, témoins d’une tradition jamais éteinte, les pêcheurs deviennent les acteurs qui écrivent l’histoire : notre histoire

Languedoc-Roussillon is a French region which is composed of five departments. It is bounded by Spain, Andorra in the south and along the Mediterranean Sea (Gulf of Lions). Other French region limit the regions of Languedoc-Roussillon: Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, Rhone-Alpes, Auvergne, Midi-Pyrenees. The natural boundaries are the Pyrenees and the so-called threshold Lauragais, the Cévennes and the Rhône.In 2004, the Regional Council chose a joint new logo symbolizes the sun, which has the motto: "Living in Septimania.
