Lyness Visitor Centre - Boilers, Lyness, Hoy, Orkney
Scotland

The Scapa Flow Visitor Centre and Museum at Lyness commemorates the history of the Royal Navy in scapa Flow. The building housing the museum was formerly a pump house for supplying fuel to the fleet and one of the oil storage tanks has been left and houses some of the larger items.

This panoarama shows the boilers used to power the steam driven equipment and supply heat to warm the heavy fuel oil so it would flow.
