Mahmud Bey Mosque, Kasaba, Kastamonu, Turkey 1

This small mosque was built by Mahmud Bey, son of Çandaroğlu Adil Bey, in 1366. Some years ago it was restored and since 2014 it is on the tentative list of the UNESCO to be recognized as a world heritage. Inside it has a unique decoration with wooden columns and a wooden roof with colourful ornaments. The small stone columns at the mihrab can be turned by hand.
