Marrakech is a truely great place to visit. Not so much the newer, French colonial style city with its modern shops, resturants and boulevards, but for the old tightly packed and teeming town. People, motor bikes and peddle bikes everywhere, all seemingly aiming for each other, the crowd and ones self but with never a collision or cross word. Almost everyone speaks Arabic and French but fortunately for me, with little knowledge of either language, many aspire to English, not necessarilly "as she is spoke" but well enough to make themselves understood.
This panorama started off as a picture of the Hotel Terrasse Panoramique - you can just make out its sign if you look carefully, but the passing bikes set me on a whimsical course, so please excuse me for fabricating this scene of the penultimate stage of the Tour de Maroc with Yellow Jersey now beginning to flag. Tomorrows final dash to the finis atop the neaby Atlas mountains will indeed be a gruelling one. Who knows who the overal winner will be!
If you want to meet a lot of good natured people go to Marakech. I can really recommend it!
NB No cyclists were harmed during the making of this panorama.
