Columbia Mine lower adit (exterior)
California

Standing on the tailings pile of the lower adit of the Columbia Mine near Scott Bar, California.  The entrance is still visible though it is an unstable breakdown inside ready to cave-in at any moment.  The mine is in serpentine w/ quartz veins where gold was being mined.  Outside are some old metal scraps & cement foundations, all overgrown as it lies 125' above the main forest service road below.
