Medjukomlje - Rock Erosion
Montenegro

The massif of Komovi is located in the North-East of Montenegro, near the border with Albania.

Komovi range is a crown of steep rocky slopes, cliffs and high peaks that tower over dense beech and coniferous forests. The highest peaks of Komovi are: Kucki Kom – 2487m and Vasojevicki Kom 2460m. These peaks offer spectacular views over neighbouring mountains, including Bjelasica.
Forest clearings of Komovi slopes are places where shepherds built their wooden huts in which they stay during the summer when the cattle is grazing freely on upland pastures.
The slopes of Komovi are criss-crossed with challenging, though safe, mountain paths that are popular with mountaineers, hikers and tourists in general.

Seen rock erosion in Medjukomlje is the biggest on Balkan peninsula.
