The square is at the centre of the village of Reus, the birth place of architec Antoni Gaudí. Reus holds many modernist buildings, one of them is the Navas House (Casa Navas) situated in this square and built by Lluís Domènech i Montaner. With a wall of solar panels, there is also here the Gaudi Centre, a museum dedicated to the famous architect.
