Metro Convention Centre South
Toronto

In Toronto, the area between Lake Ontario and the railroad tracks resulted from landfills about a century ago and was long little developed.

However in the 21st century this area's face has dramatically changed with construction of many residential but also business towers, several of which are still under construction as of 2015.

None of the new structures have attempted to challenge the height of iconic CN Tower, completed in the 1970s, which remains central to Toronto's Skyline.
