Watermill and watermeadow in the Valley of the Nightingales at Midford, Somerset. VR

This image has been re-mastered for Virtual Reality using a suitable viewer.

High Summer on the outskirts of the hamlet of Midford which lies in, what used to be, the Valley of the Nightingales. The Cam Brook provided power for a Mill in the front of the panorama.

There is a herd of cows grazing in the meadow of yellow buttercups to the rear. It's called a Water Meadow because, in the old days, it often flooded.

Buttercups are poisonous to people and can produce blistering on the skin.
