15,5 Gigapixel Panorama of the mountain world not far from the monastery
Lluc in the Tramuntana mountains on the island Mallorca, Balearic
Islands, Spain.
Directly behind the impressive monastery complex "Santuari de Lluc" a
rocky landscape spreads out, whose best known rock formation is
certainly the stone camel, "Es Camel". The mountains of the natural park
"Paratge natural de la Serra de Tramuntana" can be hiked on different
routes. The landscape is characterized by holm oak forests and olive
groves, the eroded limestone rocks partly form bizarre rock formations.
On the panorama you can see in the sky above the small mountain hill
near some monk vultures in majestic gliding flight. With wingspans of up
to 2.95 m and a weight of 8 - 12 kg, the Black Vulture (Aegypius
monachus) is one of the largest birds in Europe.
