Mt. Nelson Signal Station
Hobart
The Mt. Nelson signal station overlooks Hobart city. During the mid to late 19th Century it was one of several stations used to relay semaphore signals between the convict prison at Port Arthur and Hobart. The little signalman's hut and his house has been preserved. The signalman's house is now a restaurant.
