Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico (Art Museum) is located in the heart of Santurce Puerto Rico. This building was originally the Muniocipal Hospital. After it no longer served its purpose the building was converted to be used for The Department of Public Works. After many years the building was once more renovated conserving the historical facade towards De Diego Avenue. New construction was added towards the rear and a modern Facade with tinted glass and aluminum framing designed by artist Erick Tabales was added. Toward this side a garden with a fish pond, ornamental plants and sculptures complete the landscaping
