In connection with the reconstruction of the city, in 1936, construction began on the theater of opera and ballet, but initially it was created under the Drama Theatre. It was during the process of construction, and it was decided that it would be for ballet and opera!

Pit was dug by hand, especially since it was the place for underground garages (and then they were used as a workshop). The building of the theater is in the classic style, has three entrances. Initially, the auditorium was designed for 1,300 people, now 976.
