Neckarzimmern - Hornberg Castle
Baden-Wuerttemberg

Above the village of Neckarzimmern between Bad Wimpfen and Mosbach perched on a mountain spur Hornberg castle over the Neckar valley. The beginning of the castle is in the dark, it was probably founded in the 11th century. In 1517, Götz von Berlichingen, the knight with the iron hand, bought the castle for 6500 guilders and lived here until his death in 1562.
