The marriage carousel (Hans Sachs Fountain) is an architectural fountain in the center of Nuremberg close to the White Tower. The fountain was designed by Jürgen Weber between 1977 and 1981 and built in 1984. Because of the vulgar representations, the work of art was vehemently controversial. Today, the fountain is considered a modern art and tourist attraction.
