Typical Bercian Patio, San Cristobal de Valdueza, Leon, spain

A delicious corner in a small town in El Bierzo. Specifically, it is San Cristobal de Valdueza, located just 10 kilometers from Ponferrada. The place is known because a famous Millennial Yew tree is located there. The typical architecture of El Bierzo is very peculiar. In this neighborhood yard, characteristic details of these constructions can be seen. The houses are all equipped with the famous "bercian corridor", a wooden terrace, gallery or balcony, 2 or 3 meters long that gives the complex a peculiar character that distinguishes it from other constructions. This corridor is the hallmark of the Bierzo architecture.
