Piazza del Duomo

The Piazza del Duomo stays in the most central point of Milan in Italy and is considered a masterpiece of architecture Milanese. It was designed by Giuseppe Mengoni, the start of construction date of 1876 and finished 500 years later in 1887. The Piazza del Duomo is a huge square, here are situated the statue and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the Royal Palace and the impressive cathedral of Milan, a monument particularly elaborate in Gothic style, has a width of 157m and 400 statues. It is dedicated to Santa Maria Nascente and is considered the biggest Gothic cathedral in the world.
