Piscina da Nascente Areia que Canta em Brotas SP

Nascente de água límpida no meio da mata nativa, que forma uma piscina natural de 10m de diâmetro. A água brota da terra, em meio a uma areia muito branca 100% quartzo.

Devido a forma arredondada das partículas de quartzo, quando entram em atrito (com o esfregar das mãos), produzem som característico, daí o nome Areia que Canta.

Um estudo geológico realizado no local constatou um conjunto de particularidades que deu origem a formação desta nascente dágua. Existe também um estudo sobre monitoramento de visitação e impacto ambiental.
