Bahia de las Ballenas

Playa Ballena, also known as Bahia de las Ballenas, is a hidden gem located at the end of Road 333 in Guánica, Puerto Rico. It’s part of the Guánica State Forest & Biosphere Reserve. Here’s why it’s beautiful:

Long Beach: Playa Ballena stretches along the coast, making it perfect for beach hikes.

Bleached Wood: You’ll often find beautiful bleached wood branches washed up on the shore.

Pretty Shells: Collect pretty shells as you explore the beach.

Seclusion: The beach shines when uncrowded—ideal for relaxing and embracing island life.

Wild or Calm Waters: Depending on the season and weather, the waters can be wild or calm.

Bioluminescent Bay: Don’t miss the nearby Bioluminescent Bay experience in La Parguera.
