Plaza Independencia cathedral, Baracoa, Cuba

Beautiful plaza in the heart of Baracoa. The cathedral facing the plaza contains part of the original cross that Columbus erected when he sailed into the bay. At least carbon-dating says it is from the 1400s. There is a bust of Hatuey, a famous Taino warrior executed by the Spanish when he dared rebel against them.
