Due to the poppys that grow here, this decaying home is known as the Poppy House. It was the summer home of George Cannon Lambert, which he had built in 1910. The home sat on 129 acres and hosted cattle and an orchard. The home was 17 feet by 31 feet and had a full basement.
Lambert lived in Salt Lake City and owned a roofing company and a paper company. Lamberts passed away in 1917. Later the property was purchased by the City of Alpine Utah and it now know as Lambert Park.
