Post-Industrial "Stonehenge" on Lucavsala Island in Riga, Latvia
Riga
... also known as "Devil's Bath" among some locals, is located on the lush green island of Lucavsala, just some ten minutes drive from Old Riga with its UNESCO listed architecture. Despite the proximity, few people know about this hidden corner; in summer you are likely to meet "vagabond" fishermen here, who migrate all across the Daugava River in search for fishy places or occasional swimmers, enjoying the quietness of the area. We actually don't know what used to be here before, a pier or a never-finished bridge to another island perhaps. Agile visitors can practice their jumping skills here, quite a thrilling experience!

More About Riga

Originated from a small fishermen village, for centuries Riga has been an important part of the trade chain between Russia and Western Europe. A lively crossroad of cultures and backgrounds for over 800 years, the historical centre of Riga has accumulated an impressive cultural baggage and today is justly included in the UNESCO’s World Heritage list.
