Roberts Horn (10993'/3351m) summit
Utah

View from the summit of Roberts Horn (elev. 10,993') in the Wasatch Range near Aspen Grove, Utah.  The peak is part of the larger Mt. Timpanogos massif facing grand views of the popular Mt. Timp itself (11,749').  The area is full of deep cirques & distinct rock layers, some of them yielding interesting Ordovician fossils.  To the east, one can see the distant Uinta Mountains, Deer Creek Reservoir, & down to Heber City.  To the north a low cloud layer hovers over other 11,000 foot peaks in the Wasatch.  Winter access to the peak is relatively easy, though I took a painful approach up following Roberts Ridge all the way to the top postholing through powdery cornices.
