斩云剑：
斩云剑周围的地形是一个凹狭地带，北高南缓，上为陡坡，下幽谷，斩云剑正位于谷口。每当阴天其下面幽谷聚集的云雾，沿谷底向上飞涌，到达斩云剑的谷口处，正和山上下来的冷空气相遇，随后凝聚成细雨，此时就会出现云雾消失细雨浙沥的景象，似乎山谷中的云雾被此石将斩去。故而得名“斩云剑”。
此处云雨变幻，不是云剑的神功，而是该处特殊地貌环境以及气象变化而引起的一种云雨变幻的自然现象。前人把这块奇石摆放得如此恰到好处，并赐予传奇式美名——“斩云剑”，可谓是泰山一绝。
