Overnight at the highest of the Tepuys (especially steep plateau with vertical walls and very flat tops) Mount Roraima is a rather complicated task, the constant and unpredictable rainfall, low temperatures and strong breezes combine to make this a difficult task. Fortunately, at the top there are some sort of caves in the rocks that because their utility to protect from the elements, have been called "Hoteles" (Hotels).

Of these hotels, one of the most popular is the "Hotel Guácharo" located in the southeastern part of Tepui is very close to a window overlooking the base camp and Kukenán Tepuy, also the "Cueva del Guacharo" (Guacharo's Cave) is in a few meters range.
