San Gimignano - Cistern on the Piazza della Cisterna during Christmas at Night

This is the medieval cistern on the piazza named after it in San Gimignano. During Christmas time this piazza is decorated with chaines of light and the whole city is decorated accordingly. It is the most important and famous square in the old town. San Gimignano´s old town became an UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1990.
