Sand Springs
Nevada

A couple water troughs mark Sand Springs in the Salt Wells Basin east of Fallon, Nevada.  An important source of water during the pioneer days, the Sand Springs Pony Express Station is located nearby which operated around 1859-1860.  In the backdrop is the highest dune of Sand Mountain Recreation Area.
