Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Kolkata is the second national level film and television training institute established by Government of India. SRFTI is a fully funded autonomous organization under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, registered as a Society under West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1961. The Society consists of eminent personalities connected with Film, Television, Communication, Culture, Alumni of Institute and Ex-Officio Members. The Institute is governed by a Governing Council, headed by a Chairman and comprising of eminent personalities and official members.

The present Chairman is Shri Ranjit Mallick who is a renowned film personality.
SRFTI offers P.G. Diploma in Direction, Cinematography, Audiography, Editing etc.
SRFTI has been constructed on a sprawling area of 39.36 acres of land located at
