Tambora Volcano
South summit of Mount Tambora (2.420 m), Sumbawa Island, Indonesia. The huge caldera 7 kilometers in diameter and 1,100 meters deep. Tambora erupted in April 1815, killing 92.000 people making 1816 the year without a summer. The eruption caused a tsunami.
