The recently constructed pontoon in East Loch Tarbert is found on the west side of lower Loch Fyne opposite Portavadie on the east side .

Able to accomodate up to 100 boats and yachts of various sizes it is also home to the annual Scottish Series Yacht Race where several hundred yachts attend to take part in the race .

Tarbert is also home to a castle which was enlarged and reinforced by Robert the Bruce , King of Scotland in 1325
