The market square in Tauberbischofsheim, surrounded by Franconian half-timbered houses and the neo-Gothic town hall, forms the center of the city. The town hall was built between 1865 and 1867. Since the renovation in 1989, a carillon has been playing several times a day. The tourist information is located on the ground floor and medals and awards from the successful fencers of the Olympic base are displayed in showcases.
