View at the upper city wall and at a wall of the gymnasium of Termessos. The ruins are at the upper end of a mountain valley in a green jungle, nearly not excavated. From the theater, more than 1000m above sea level, you can look down to the Mediterranian Sea. In 334BC Alexander the Great tried to conquer the city without success. The Roman times were the most prosperous for the city and left the most buildings.
