The Toronto Inukshuk
Toronto

This Inukshuk... like the 2010 Vancouver Olympics insignia... can be found on the famous Lakeshore Blvd recreational trails along the Toronto waterfront.

The inscription dedication plate for this Inukshuk reads:

World Youth Day has been a true navigational guide for millions of young people throughout the world.  The Toronto Inukshuk invites each one of us to become beacons of light and hope, striving for justice and peace in this world.  This Toronto Inukshuk legacy, co-chaired by Mr. Tony Dionisio and Councillor Joe Pantalone, is a reminder of the immense, wonderful gathering of young people and His Holiness Pope John Paul II held in Toronto during World Youth Day, July 23-28, 2002

Mayor Mel Lastman
and Toronto City Council
