The Valkyrie, Sculptures In Copenhagen
Copenhagen

Near the fortress "Kastellet" and Langelinie you find the sculpture "The Valkyrie" made by Stepham Sinding in 1910. According the the Norse legends the Valkyrie were sent to the battlefield by the god Odin to choose among the fallen Vikings, who were allow to go to Valhalla, the home of the gods, where all Vikings hoped to secure a seat at the gods table.
