Thutmose / Thotmus / Thutmosis the third is the Predecessor to the famous Queen Hatshepsut and her stepson, he's the sixth king of the 18th Dynasty.
The tomb of Thutmes III was cut high up a sheer cliff in a narrow water course. It was the first royal tomb to have a well shaft and also the first to have the full Book of What is in the Netherworld (known in ancient Egyptian as the Imydwat) painted on the walls of its first pillared chamber, the burial chamber which is where this pano is taken includes texts from the "Litany of Ra" which is a text found in New Kingdom royal tombs showing forms of the sun god, Ra, and his union with the king.
The decoration was done in a cursive style that mimics writing on a roll of papyrus.
the site is currlenty closed to public visits due to increased humidity levels inside.
