Gigapixel summit view from atop Tom Martin Peak (elev. 7,021') in the Marble Mountains near Scott Bar, California. The mountain is located on the end of a high ridge adjacent to Lake Mountain to the west. Here one can see views of the Siskiyou Mountains to the north, the Red Buttes area, Condrey Mountain, Dry Lake Mountain, east to Mt. Shasta (w/ noticeable lenticular clouds), & down south to Craggy Mountain, Boulder Peak, Kings Castle, & Black Marble Mountain. Behind Lake Mountain is a nice view of Preston Peak & El Capitan. A bit of snow on the north side however it is relatively low compared to previous years. The peak's name is not entirely known, other than perhaps named for the member of an Indian family that lived in the area.
