Torre Guaita, Jaraco (Valencia)

The Guaita Tower (Watcher) is located on the Cow River near beach Xeraco, on the banks of the river Vaca, in the area known as the Gorg. 

In the sixteenth century were built on the coast of Valencia around thirteen towers surveillance and defense. They were, from north to south, Marda, Grau de Murviedro, Puig, Valencia Grau, Saler, Gola Perellonet, Cape Cullera, Cullera, Tavernes, Xeraco, Grau de Gandia, Piles and Oliva. 

The tower is slightly conical shape, with the bottom steepest part. 

It had three floors. It is built with thick masonry walls and is now demolished. Has access at ground 1.80 meters high and 0.50 meters wide and over it a window in what was the first floor of the tower. Retain both jambs and arch of half point of chairs.
