Calca
Eyre Peninsula

The small rural community of Calca is known for the inselbergs called Murphy's Haystacks, its red granite mined in the area, and for a seal colony breeding below the cliffs at Baird Bay. Calca is located approx. 30 kilometres south of Streaky Bay on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. The township's name is derived from an aboriginal word for "stars".
