Kadefekale is the castle/fortress situated above the city of Izmir, ancient Smyrna.

The castle is still an attraction and the view over the city is dramatic.

Inside women wove carpets, other touristic things are sold,sheeps sleep in the shade and a little tea-shop invites for a little rest.
