Tsitsernakaberd is Armenia's official memorial dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide. It is located on a hill by the same name in Yerevan. Every year on April 24 “The Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day” thousands gather at the memorial to commemorate the victims of the genocide.

Modern civilization began right here in the Tigris-Euphrates river valley.
